Coaching helps individuals reach their personal and professional potential and teams achieve results.

Through a partnership between coach and client, the individual defines a set of goals and, supported by the coach, works to achieve them. In the process, the client gets new awareness, sees choices that previously did not seem to exist, and feels empowered to move ahead.

When Coaching is Helpful

Coaching helps individuals increase their effectiveness, improve performance and get desired results. There may be a precipitating event like a job promotion or transition in or out of a job or career, or an individual's desire to build competency, improve executive presence or increase work fulfillment.

The Coaching Process

The coach meets with the individuals on a periodic basis typically for three to six months. The length of the sessions, period in which they meet and length of the engagement, will vary with the client. At the initial meeting, the coach and client will clarify goals and specific results for the engagement. Between sessions, the client will perform exercises, use tools and take actions to move forward towards their goals. The coaching partnership is based on mutual trust, confidentiality and respect.

Team Coaching

High-performing teams are marked by providing results in an environment of trust. Organizations embracing agile approaches, especially, depend on having inspired teams that work together seamlessly towards a common purpose. Team coaching, which takes place in the context of the team's real work, focuses on the team's effective working style and ultimately leads to improved performance and outcomes.
